Oh it didn't crash, it just couldn't handle the load .. fscking spindoctors at it again.

But then, this from the same government who pays R140mil for a $10 wordpress website .. is it any wonder?

Couldn't get in all day. Slow as molasses. Your tax dollars hard at work. ;)

Did mine this afternoon, was slightly slow here and there, but I blame the Adobe Reader browser extension not playing nicely on my PC.

I've been on it quite a few times between yesterday and today and it's been fine for me...Even now I just logged in and it was quick.

Crash or just not able to connect. Either way people dont care what they call it. They couldnt access the site. And everybody at work had to jump around to download the latest flash player as well

Semantics indeed, if the network connection is flooded that doesnt mean the _site_ crashed, it means the datacenter couldnt handle the traffic.

Though it might have been the database server that couldn't handle all the requests too, but I certainly hope that's not the case.

“People are complaining that they can’t get on (the site).” ..... can see how it was necessary for MBB to include the part in brackets :)

Im stuck on the update password page, even when i update and log in it sends me back to the update page...its like my password is always a temporary password. frustrating. As a result i cant do efiling -__-

anyone had this?

My eFiling Hell on a Apple Mac

I've battled for a few years with efiling (on a Mac). This year it's the same: the SARS website claims my Adobe Flash is not up-to-date. I downloaded the update TWICE and SARS still said I needed to update. Then, the site simply refused to save the changes I made. I tried Chrome, Firefox and Safari and finally had some success with Safari (Message to SARS: Not everyone is on IE). Now the site is not able to show me the results of my tax calculation because my Adobe Reader is supposedly out-of-date! It's not. Has anyone else experienced the same? And is there a solution?
SARS deserves praise --- but the issues I encounter (on a Mac) --- dents their image a little. Come on SARS, start looking beyond the Windows. There's also a Mac world out there.
