So I made a payment this afternoon via EFT from my personal ABSA account to a business FNB account.

How long will it take for the funds to reflect in the recipient's account?

not sure, i did an fnb to standard bank eft yesterday and this morning it was in the account.

Before 12:00, tomorrow.

After 12:00, the day after...

Should be tomorrow, unless you selected "immediate payment" when doing the EFT, then it's same day.

Should reflect tomorrow

Thank you.
I went into the bank to try and get them to clear the funds but they said sorry, nothing they can do. I was suppose to mark the little 'immediate payment' checkbox when I did the transaction (I normally do madam, why do ya think I'm here?)

Recipient and ABSA told me 2-3 days

even better if this is true

I have found before 15:00 from Absa to FNB is next day. (Teller says 2-3 Days because sometimes it can take longer then you can't hold her liable)

I truly truly can't understand how it can take so long, I mean if you pay to capitec in the morning it will be in your account by 15:00 or 15:30.

Thing is I bought a vehicle (private purchase) and obviously he will not release it until funds reflect on his side.
So now we wait..

A bit off topic but I used my phone to pay someone today. FNB to FNB and it was in IN ONE MINUTE !!!

yip, the funds reflected this morning (next day). Recipient contacted me 09h00 to confirm
