Yes. All took under 30 minutes in total (first time + collection)

It's only available in some Gauteng bank branches and 1 Standard Bank branch in CT. You have to be with the relevant bank from what I understand.

I see you are able to select a Home affairs office as well on the website, but i guess that would mean you would need to follow the normal process of queuing,

None of the bank branches are nearby

Yes, got my new ID Card in 5 days.

Do it through Standard Bank. No queues.
