Yes, im experiencing the same results. Downloads for updates and podcasts doing anywhere from 30Kbs to 120Kbs. No issues last night. Have PM'd Mweb Guy so hopefully they gonna look into it.

resolved this morning,
would just like to know if there was a network as several people on mweb uncapped experienced this in the gauteng area from 18h00 till around 1am

I am not aware of any network issues yesterday, I will see what I can find out.

but we seem to be having mweb issues every few weeks now, so i like my own thread were i can rage and get attention and get trolls to post info not relating or not resolving the issue :P
will continue creating a new one every time we have issues, need to vent somewhere :P
just until mweb tech support starts replying to issues we log with CASE numbers etc

nice.... at the time of writing this post international http, http downloads seem to be performing under par
tested this now again with big sites like filehippo, microsoft and nvidia

Please find out from the network guys whether there is something wrong. Not sure if my account details is going to solve the problem, because quite a few people are complaining in the PTA & JHB area.

Speeds of 60KB/s on a 4Mbps line is unacceptable! :mad:
 
Are we being throttled without us knowing it? Yes I know some people do about 300GB a month and still has full speed, but im only on 20GB now, so whats up?

Hi saa044,

Firstly I would like to state that MWEB does NOT Throttle accounts. It has been communicated clearly on numerous occasions on the forum.

Is it on normal HTTP downloads, torrents, P2P, NNTP or browsing that your speeds are slow? Please provide me with your MWEB account details and a description on what's happening on your end and I'll be more than happy to assist you.

Hey Mweb Guy, ile PM you the info of both my home and work account. On a sidenote you guys rock as a isp, this is not bitching as some people will lable it, just merely expressing what we are experiencing now regarding speed. Thank you for trying to help / assist us all.
 
I understand completely if just one person complains. Then it might be something on his account, line, exchange, etc. But if quite a few people makes noise and from different areas, then something is up with the network. I monitor the "Network Status Notices" page all the time. And at this present moment, no incidents and I can't believe it!
 
Yup I am still experiencing problems, only downloading 100kb on a 4mb line, not COOL :-(
