This is what separates La Liga football from the rest of the world’s leagues. With the history, culture, and political implications of El Clasico also comes, arguably, the greatest match in football — one that showcases all the qualities that make this The Beautiful Game. As La Liga lovers, we are treated to El Clasico twice per year and never does it fail to be a match of unparalleled drama and emotion.

And to supporters of neither team, a true demonstration of Spanish football will show why we Primera proponents enjoy the very best football in the world

Time for Barcelona to get revenge for last seasons game at the Bernabeu.

Where's a good place to go watch the game in dbn?

good point..

What a Performance by Barcelona!!!!!!!!!

100 Goals this season now.

from the BBC commentry:

That was one of the most remarkable games of football I think I've ever seen. I mean, you know these games are going to produce action, but that was bordering on ridiculous.

I need to lie down in a darkened room and think about what has just happened. That truly was magical, the kind of football match that makes you fall in love with the sport all over again. Thank you so much for your company, it's been unreal.

Well, anybody who doubted Barca's attacking capabilities because they drew against Chelsea would be thinking twice before they do that again.

Barcelona RIPPED Real Madrid apart tonight! Their passing and attacking play was unreal!!! Looked like they wanted to release all that frustration of not scoring against Chelsea and unlucky for Real Madrid they were the victims.

Barcelona 6 - 2 Real Madrid (It could have been 10 - 2)

What a season Pique has been having. Im sure Man United are kicking themselves for letting him go.

Was a brilliant game, Messi was almost god like at times, Barca was totally seamless in their attack.

For Real, only really Robben stood out, I am still annoyed that we sold him, he is amazing.

I do hope that Barca will play nothing like thiscome tuesday. Then again, they won't have their main defence, like we did against them, so it should be fun!

That was diabolical defending by Real Madrid. They pushed up so high that they were exposed in every Barca attack. It could of been much more than 6. They got what they deserved. I'm not a professional coach but even I know how to set up a team against Barca. I think Real went into it with nothing to lose as they were many points behind and faced the consequences. They should of made it a dull game and sneak a winner near the end. At least they would of given themselves a chance.

Entertaining game.. This is what you get when you hire Ramos as a manager :)

Its not the first time this year that 'the second best' team in Spain has been raped

Apparently that is not the Spanish way.

Feck the spanish way, if you want to give yourself a chance against Barcelona, then you have to resort to dull tactics. Chelsea did it and they have given themselves a decent chance to progress, simple as that.

Real's defending was shocking though. Who wants to bet that Barca wont be able to score on Wednesday? :)

Wrong. Real Madrid had to go out and win the game. A draw would see them still 4 points off from the league leaders.

So they had to go out and attack, if they defended for most of the game and tried to sneak a late winner, chances are they would have got a draw.

I watched the Chelsea game 4 times since last week. Chelsea were VERY lucky not to concede. Even though they used the anti-football approach, they were still exposed 3 times. One can just imagine if they had to play open football how many gaps they would leave for the Barca midfield/fowards to exploit.

1) Eto beat Terry and took a shot instead of passing to an open Henry who was unmarked in the box.

2) Bojan's missed header

3) Hleb had a one on one with Czech.

If Chelsea try to attack Barca on Wednesday, we all know what they are capable of doing on the counter.
