Elden Ring

Oh right, I still bought this and never played it that much. Maybe something to pick up over the holiday :)

Its hard in a good way though. I can see why its one of the best games but jesus I picked this as my first paid for game on my xbox :X3: I love the challenge.

@APoc184 Thank you again for selling the xbox  Your kids would kill this game compared to me :X3:

Lolz!

As long as you guys are enjoying it!

Mine still love the swimming pool and playing outside. Will milk that for as long as possible!

Busy with a new playthrough after almost a year. Got about 200hrs in altogether. Just realized that mobs give 20% extra xp if you finish them with a critical hit. Combined with the Gold Scarab it's 44% extra xp. (1.2 x 1.2). Weird thing is that I can't find any mention of this online.

me too. Recently started and continued with a new char I made months a go.

For anyone looking to grind some levels before even killing a single boss or doing any dungeons, I found the best spot. Go here to Dragonbarrow Fork site of grace in Caelid. You can get there right at the start. Safest to get your horse first as you need to run past 3 dragons to get to the grace.

There are 15 guardian guys in the ground, which each give over 1k runes, on the hill going up towards the minor Erdtree. Very easy to kill and you can get about 25k runes per run in just over a minute. Out of all the farming zones accessible at the start of the game, I found this to be the best by far. Even at lvl150, I'm getting a level every few minutes. You could get to lvl200 in a few hours here before even fighting Margit.

Nice. I normally farm the giants and then the ghost soldiers in that tree root place.

Edit
Works great with the gold scarab on

Yeah I use the gold scarab as well. If you kill them in one shot without them seeing you, you also get another 20% bonus xp. So combined with the gold scarab each one gives 1627 xp. Best to set the time to night as most of them then won't see you.

The best 2nd best place to farm is by the grace site on the cliff opposite Mohg's palace. Below you is a blood bird on the lake. Shoot it with an arrow and it will run towards you, fall off the lake edge, and die. Reset at the grace, rinse and repeat. This nets you about 16k runes with scarab equipped every ~15 seconds.

Yeah that is the best but you can only access the area much later in the game.
