Elden Ring

Finished my first play through - ended up ±104 hours.

Now the question is new char or NG+ for the other endings?

I'd always just make a new character unless the weapon/spell I want to play through with is only available near the end of the game. You can get nearly any weapon in 20 minutes and +9 it right away it as long as it's not up past the Altus Plateau or locked behind tough bosses/quests. Almost all items in Limgrave, Liurnia, Caelid is available straight away.

Such a weird game this on some level especially if you come from gaming genres (Diablo) where you progress by wiping everything out as you move along.

I'm finding that there are areas that I can only progress through by running past multiple enemies in order to have enough Mana and Health left to reach the next Grace point.

Heh! Then again, I probably just need to 'git gud'

My strategy is I don't progress past a room until everything inside it is dead - no matter how heavy things are

Even Dark Souls 1 had these, not forgetting about ds3. Sometimes it's all about running and gunning. Haha.

Hmm I must say, so far the NG+ scaling seems off, I'm absolutely destroying these first few bosses with very little effort. I'm guessing it will change later though...hoping at least ;)

How?

I just started a section of Lurnia and I'm already at 140 hours.
Don't stress. You can do it in 9 minutes or less otherwise you can take your time. I cleared Radahn 131 hours in. I would normally go through an area exploring fully and then watch fightingcowboy's 100% walk through to see if I really did miss something. For example the beast repellent torches are great. haha.

I watched a few of his walkthroughs especially when I'm stuck in an area or boss, most times theres an huge area or item or npc that I completely missed. I think I might have messed up a few quest lines as well but I figured I could always do another play through at some point.

I'm 60hrs in at lvl100. Will get back at it this weekend. Did every accessible area so far 100% and now doing Caelid. All of Lurnia and Limgrave plus accessible underground regions are done. The north side of Caelid seems to have much tougher enemies (dogs look the same but have way more HP and there are dragons lurking around). So will leave that part of Caelid for much later. I did sneak in there at the start of my playthrough though to quickly grab the +8 and +9 stones. Given that there are endgame stones in the area, it must a late game area.

The only areas I can explore now are Caelid, then new underground areas after Rhadann, then it's up to the Altus Plateau.

That moon lady is kicking my ass - using serpent sword +8 but can't get her health down quickly enough before her summons flatten me.

I haven't tried to take her on using ranged yet with the meteorite and rock sling spell.

Edit - the ranged approach did the job. Heh!
