Elden Ring

Finally killed that goddamn Fire Giant this weekend ( I honestly think I took probably 50 - 60 attempts ). Holy crap that thing hits like a truck.

Not far into NG+

Still rocking the faith based build but want to respect to a battle mage type build soon.

Or maybe even go full unga bunga now that they've buffed Colossal weapons!

Coop having the shits? Recently I'm summoned and then immediately get "disconnected" as I appear. However, this wasn't an issue last week and the only thing I did change was to properly install EAC where as Eldering just plonks it in. Having, done that completely solved my loading into a black screen from starting the game from the 1st time after having switched on my pc. I'm beginning to wonder if all these "crashes" and "disconnects" are just server issues; for example I would play 8 hours and then magically the game just stops. Of course it is not overheating, drivers, power supply, ram, windows, temp folder, priority for the app, performance mode, etc etc. Been through all of that.

I thought for sure there would be a Rivers of Blood nerf in this one. Very suprised.

Some interesting buffs to colossal weapons too. Makes me want to look at dropping my current dual greatsword setup for one of the big boys.

I'm currently running a guts str build. Will see how it's post patch. I do however have a whip or cleaver in my off hand for that last hp quick kills or surprise opening attack.

I was also going the Guts cosplay route for my second play through, but opted for a greatsword initially until I could effectively wield anything larger. At some point I added a second greatsword with both set for cold affinity which worked super well. Then the whole initial idea fell apart as I started tossing points into faith to play with some incantations that looked interesting.

Ideal time for a respec as I'm getting tired of the moveset.

Oh yes. Str/Faith or Faith/x is my next play-test or play through as there are so many nice option. But before that I'm doing a dual dagger setup as rot, bleed and/or death.
 
2nd playthrough/ending wrapped up.

Ended up with a STR and FAITH build powerstancing greatswords (Blasphemous Blade and Gargoyles Black Blade) with some support incantations and second heaviest tier armour. Definitely a different experience to my first DEX/INT, shield and Moonveil playthrough.

The question is do I now wait for some DLC before getting the 3rd ending and the plat trophy.
 
So... Elden is ded but I forgot to backup my savegame just afterwards before touching things. I did take my sweet time though. May or may not start a ng+ as I might leave the char there to assist in craft/items with some of my other builds. Was a good 250 hours spent on 2 main builds, from which one finished up and other two are still experiments. Which I suppose is good ROI for that "1k zar".

Is it wort it to go post 60 for vigor?
