Elden Ring

There is a vast difference between your 1st run and your 7th+ run, hence the initial complaints.

A so so boss becomes much harder when it has 3 times its health and hits twice as hard.
My first playthrough of elden ring was way harder than dlc because I was new to souls. I can see dlc is objectively harder but my experience is otherwise. Just to many factors to blanket everything with one statement

I thought the attribute talisman would be tier 1. It's insane IMO.
Once you get to level 100+ the -15% damage taken is too much. The +5strength won't add much damage and the plus vit doesn't outweigh the negative.

But at the beginning it is crazy good.

**** the side quest design. Being locked out of cooking books because of exploration is balls.

The people complaining about the DLC being too hard are the ones mainlining it to the bosses, getting utterly wrecked then review bombing on Stream.

Exploration has always been the core mechanic of any soulsborne game, its how you 'git gud'.
Yes and? Thats my point, you explore and then without knowing it, you pass an invisible line and the world event happens which locks you out of side quests. Normally, world events happened after beating a boss. Never ****ing exploring.

I made a save before finishing consort radahn, so have been trying some builds against him.

Using fingerprint stone shield and any thrusting weapon (I used bloody helice) made the fight trivial. No summons easy mode. Just block and poke.

Did a claws of night which attack from range and have high bleed. I had to use summons jolan and Anna plus the extra summon. Whenever everything is hitting radahn the bleed procs were crazy but got lucky and stance broke him at the perfect time while everything was wailing on him.

Bloodfiends arm basically bleeds every 1-2 hits and stance breaks on 3-4 hits which made the fight easier. Didn't need summons.

Still want to try the black blade with the white blast and the flame spear build.

Starting to feel like I am getting the hang of him but it still takes 30 mins to get a clear other than with the shield that was my second try.

You can always follow a guide and this one is the best on the internet.

I do understand though it's frustrating my first playthough I missed alexander so could not get the best trinket in the game. Honestly the story line sucks and lots of tubers go I went here to get this and I have no fing clue why.

If you want to challenge yourself, experience the best world in a game and try 100s of builds then this is for you.

Started with a lvl150 arcane/occult build (not bleed focused) and switched up weapons to the great katana+dry leaf arts for most of the DLC.

On the last boss at the moment and beside him and maybe one other I can't say I really struggled too much with the bosses.

Yes, the DLC is overall significantly harder, but not to the degree that people are making it out to be.

Having said that the 2 bosses referred to above have some really poor design choices and give an artificial hardness to the fight that doesnt feel rewarding when you finally overcome it.
I like this, creeps should not be pushovers and should be able to kill you but the DLC as a whole is not that hard and I would assume its persons who want to just skip through it being challenged more than they are used to or feel entitled to. ED's bosses is a bit of a flim~flam and I do prefer other other titles, but even they have some questionable bosses and enemies. So none of them are perfect either...

I started ER for the first time last week ever since you posted about how excited you were etc.

Hell man, balls deep into it now. Even though it is a biatch (I play Tarkov, so used to pain) it is just amazing.

Already missed so much, so need to go through these guides and retrace the steps to go and find better gear.

DLC sucks. I will never forgive being punished for exploring.

But the base game was much worse, I did an entire quest in yhe DLC and got to a flower that killed you at the end before finding the quest giver. Then tpd to the end and finished the quest like 10 hours later. I also found the crying man just before fighting radahn and finished his quest.

In the base, Once you are in Farum Azula an entire section of the game is inaccessible or if you take the lift an event triggers which breaks many quests in the game.

Base game was not forgiving at all so not sure what you are talking about.

Nice I'm jealous for all the new guys playing for the first time. I started a new character this morning but I have a route where I get golden vow, cheese greyll, cheese nights calvary, pick up a great sword, pick up mace, then cheese greyoll.

This basically set me up withing an hour to level 40ish with a decent weapon. Next is getting my weapon to +12.

Enjoy the guide it makes the game make sense.

How so? Literally about all I did in the beginning and the "harder" parts I just set mode +durban looter grabbed what I could touching the graces?
I have a issue where I hate missing items or quests, so I tend to be cautious on fighting bosses and progressing the world. For me, to have the world progress just because I passed an invisible line on the map is bullshit.

In the main game, going to FA was done after doing something. Missing a quest was the result of doing something. Never was a quest missable by just exploring a region that you had access to,

I still have bloodborne unplayed on the PS4, had it for a few year now. Going straight into it after elden ring but I have a feeling to play DS1 again as it was my first souls and nothing beats your first souls game experience. Although it will most probably be quite clunky now.
