Elden Ring

I went in with 100 poise and rarely got staggered that i couldnt react
Look we had a danny in soul calibur who would simply juggle you to death without given chance to do something; which imho doesn't make hard boss but someone somewhere wanted to be a kant and thought difficulty is locking the person behind multiple attacks from multiple angles so much so that you just got raped by the camera.

Furthermore, *just* changing your build for a single boss is inasmuch a cop-out and not finishing the game. Ironically it's kill Nosferatu Zodd to access the dlc to kill Nosferatu Zodd again whom seems to be a reskin of Malenia water sport attack(s) with added friends benifits.

I suppose being fisted to death without safewords is someone's "hard(-on)" and "jesus it took skill to kill"; if wanted this in a one punch setting then I'll just bootup ghostrunner requiring actual skill(s)...

Perhaps it's a really good time to relook what makes up a hard game, souls game and or sould like game other than applying one hard hitting gang rapists.

Every single attack is dodgable in ph 1. i no hit a few times. ph 2 has a big issue, and its visibility. Yes i went 100 poise, but once i learnt him, stagger wasnt the challenge. never really had issue with the camera

Whats wrong with changing a build, every single build is viable. why did i change? i hit him between the balls with starfists. my weapons of choice. and as i was learning the boss. i switched to something with better range, can i complain? no, because starfists are OP as hell, and the downfall is range. on my last challenge run i switched from starfists to utchi on maliketh for the same issue. I also had the greatsword as my second main, but once again i didnt know the moveset well enough. iv subsequently fought him with starfists and greatsword. and just a note, im so glad i tried something faster, more dex, because i enjoyed it so much im doing a full playthrough with less stance damage/bonk and more status.

I have NO ISSUE with how hard he is. he took me more attempts than ANY from boss. including owl father lol. Issues i do not deny, visibility in PH2, terrain and such. His ghost attacks deal little damage to be honest. his nuke is easy to read and respond to. he can be frost and bled which is great.

I felt the same way you did the first 50 tries. then once i beat him i changed my opinion. My biggest issue isnt this boss. its the bosses leading up to him. Other than the inital boss or 3, the game bosses doesnt ramp up well enough. Romina, Mesimer was just too squishy. Midra is the best boss but also squishy, they all have maliketh syndrome, powerful and awesome but squishy.

I dont expect you to agree with me. thats fine, we have our opinions. at the end of the day there's plenty of builds to beat him with. and thats nothing new to souls games. i mean imagine you took on elden beast with the sipha (full holy). or the barrage of people with rivers of blood (i was one of them)....

Im far from a expert gamer. i probably had 100 glorious attempts and radahn. and i wish i could have my first run at him again

Having to run half a mile through wizards every time to get to Rennala is fun or maybe I missed a grace point.

there's a grace right outside the fog wall

EDIT. I read Rellana lol. yes you have to run, but you can mostly B line it.... first playthrough? whats your build. she's pretty squishy if you melee, horrible if you a mage..

Also. You shouldn't need to run past any wizards. It's run right past the big marble and up the lift

I run left up past the two hurling Flintstone mf's.

Second play through, first was int mage. Started second one with samurai but switched to strength cause I do not have the rolling reflexes, and every night in godricks castle became a nightmare. Must probably do a respec now that I've beaten her.

Those iron ladies that grab you are very challenging with this build.
Couldn't beat the fox without ashes that spawn multiple targets to take some of his attention.

The Smarag dragon almost had me rage quit.
After a few attempts he had one hit left but his blue flame is insta kill, you cannot get out of it.
Same with the lizard thing that spew lava.

I'm speculating if I should do Caelid first or continue with liurnia north.

I think I am about 70% done with the DLC. Cant wait to finally get into NG plus

I have upgraded to the giants crusher.

Loving the weapon its the biggest in Elden Ring and you can script most boss fights by using royal knights resolve, doing the spin over head attack followed by two normal attacks which stances breaks the enemy, attack once then crit hit them. Then royal knights resolve and do another spin attack. The entire chain is 15k+ damage and once I get into the DLC there are plenty things to buff this further.

I am using:
Giants crusher level 19 with royal knights resolve (plus 80% damage for one hit), heavy affinity which gives S scaling in strength

- Axe talisman - more damage on charged attack
- Great jars arsenal - more carry capacity the hammer is heavy
- Ritual sword talisman - more damage at max life
- Green Turtle talisman - will be dropped when I get shard of alexander

Buffs - golden vow, flame grant me strength and waiting for enough faith to cast howl of shabiri.
Flask - spiked crack tear (more charged damage) and stonebarb cracked tear (more stance break)

No boss yet has been able to stop that unless they go to a second stage.

From the debate parlour go out the main door to the fountain, go right over the walk-way, up the stairs past the ball, up the lift and she is in front of you.

I beat DLC at NG+2 Im currently on NG+4 , busy b-lining the base game, takes about 2 hrs a run. I managed NG+3 without dieing, so now i have upped' the ante, try to get to NG+7 without dieing lol

I have not done a one shot build yet, i really should. also get that bad boy to Level 25 :)
if you doing a one shot build. you dont even need green turtle. i love the stonebarb cracked tear, i use it most of the time. if you did DLC, there's a 2 handed talisman for additional 2 handing buff

Just beat the final boss. Died a few times. Just doing a checklist to see if I missed anyitems. Then will get the bell bearings from the mercents before going into ng plus.

Meaning you e replayed the whole thing 4 times?

Yes. but its being B-lined. so its basically straight to Margit to Godfrey to renalla, up Ruin Precipice to Draconic tree sentinel, Morgott, firegiant, godskin duo, maliketh, gideon, Horoux Loux, Radabeast. entire replay i do in one sitting, under 2 hrs. NG+7 the game has the highest diffuculty scaling, so thats like 12 hrs to do all the runs after the first one basically.
