Elden Ring

Starting my play-through.

Basic VIG, DEX, END bleed build with Uchigatana (Samurai starting character)

I was unable to beat Malenia without summons.
First time I had to summon multiplayer help.

My first win was with a mimic and pre nerf rivers of blood. She has alot of bs. Don't worry. Come back another playthrough

So much to do in this game

It’s a bit overwhelming coming from Dark Souls 3.

Suddenly I find myself down Siofra River Well and realize I am massively under-leveled - thank goodness for guides/reddit :)

I suck at souls like games, so when I did my ER run, I had the wiki open at all times...

There's no way anybody figures out where to go, to complete character quests, without the internet, I follow this map and wiki the
NPCs.

@nazmo have you played lies of p and sekiro?
I want to try another one however nioh 2 was off putting for me.

I mix it up - I really enjoy the discovery part - when I reached the ‘end’ of an area, I look it up to see what I missed (usually a lot).

Doing it this way leaves you with the sense of discovery and achievement (like when I found the Deeproot depths and figured out the Prince of Death area and obtained the Staff).

Sekiro is Amazing. its second after Elden ring for me in the past 10 years. Dark souls 3 is also really good. Sekiro is totally different mechanically, its all about parry and posture

I use spirit ashes and npc summons whenever really.

I don’t care about “git gud”, just want to play an awesome game - and the developers put them in the game (like other souls games)

The main issue with this game is that it consumes your thought  can it be night time again so I can play again :X3:

My first 2 playthroughs was using mimic and OP builds, no regrets, as i got further hooked i started challenging myself. play how you want 100%. but i highly recommend a solo run as bosses are way more fun as there's no split aggro

11/12 hours in, level 33 and I haven’t gone past Stormgate.

Done a fair amount of Limgrave, and currently in Weeping Peninsula.

The damn Erdtree Avatar is so slow and predictable, yet he keeps slamming me to dust  :X3:

They don't like fire though. Have a quick run through Liurnia, I think just next to the Rose Church, a scarab drop Bloodflame Incantation, works wonders on Erdtree Avatars.

Any advice for that mf in the Lake of Rot building. Jirre that thing moves fast. I could cheese its sibling in the depths of Stormveil but this one….

Ye, try staying on Torrent to avoid rot build up.

EDIT:
I completely misread that, you cannot use Torrent in the Lake of Rot, but try increasing your immunity, the mushroom armor works pretty well in this area.

Get flame clense my to clear the rot, use mimic tear and the best armor you have. Pump vigor for more health and he is weak slash.

Also you don't need anything from the Lake of Rot but to get to the other side, then look for the coffin.
