Election Results on Telly?

Its suppose to be at 9:00PM.

However due to the complications of higher voter turn-out, extensive lines and such. Plus the shortage of ballot papers and ballot boxes the ANC has called for the IEC to extend voting hours.

The announcement if this has not yet happened and I presume we will have an answer within the next few minutes on the the radio.

A guy been standing in the queue from 8 this morning just been told they have run out of ballots and told them to go to another poll station. Fair enough but they told him this at 2045 African democracy at work... so he's now lost his vote....

He cant lose his vote due to the IEC screwing up. He did everything he needs to do. I cant see how the IEC cannot sort that out.

If he does lose his vote then I seriously question the IEC being able to perform as an effective independent unit. They simply need to arrange more papers.

Yeah if he leaves then there could be a problem, but he should have requested he stays until more papers arrive at the station he was at. His right as a citizen of South Africa after all.

After parliament votes... by law... Zuma not automatically president... hope they put Manuel's name forward... seeing his job is on the line too
What a wonder if factions in the ANC turn their backs on Zuma
