Election Results on Telly?

Hey guys, any one know if the results will be televised?
If so what channel and is it a satellite channel and if so what are the chances it will be available here in the U.K?

Or will I have to just follow things via the web?
 
They'll definitely be on the E news channel on DSTV, but I doubt you'd be able to get it in the UK.

We have a channel called SA direct but that's more a infomercial/travel sort of thing from what I've seen... I might see what it's showing tonight just in case...
 
Is there any coverage anytime of anything related to the elections on the SABC channels? Or ETV? For us that don't have DSTV?
 
SABC 2 or 3 and probably E-TV should have coverage yes.

its on the TV Guide schedule, but probably not as up-to-date as news24.com would have.

They have about an hour or two allocated morning, lunch and evening to Elections 2009 tomorrow and it seems Friday.
 
Just trawling thru that news24 site....

I'm noticing its the mostly rural provinces where the ANC has its massive victories (except Gauteng)... but in the Western Cape and KZN its a much closer result for them... they don't walk away with the requisite 50% in either of them... But in the North West/Limpopo/Mpumalanga they get over 80% in each of them.... quite scary.
 
Thats very interesting, but I would like to be able to see the percentages for different municipalities, I think that in itself would be even more telling.
 
Apparently votes counts should start coming in from as early as 10pm tonight. Robben Island is traditionally counted first.
 
Yeah, and final results will be out in 48 hours (hopefully). I remember the time when the DA had won Cape Town yet there were numerous delays :rolleyes:
