Elections a watershed

You my friend will get ignored with your facts. Over here we rather shut our ears and go la la la.

What facts? Who is running the WC? Why is the ANC shipping in uneducated black masses? Why is Malema calling for them to breed as fast as possible? Go get an education.

The DA have proven that they've go what it takes by their performance in the Western Cape. If they could win another couple of provinces, if not more, it would be a start for a complete ousting of the ANC. Somehow I doubt that the ANC would willingly give up power, though.

B

Definitely. Ousting the ANC is the only chance at a better future for everyone in this country, not just the politically well connected.

Do the DA support the death penalty?

It appears not if you look here!

While I would vote in favour of it, I wouddn't mind a more efficient justice system that actually sends criminals to jail, and keeps them there.

Doesn't matter. The Constitution prevents us from using death as a punishment.

It weighs on my decision to vote for a party. If a party is for something that I am against, I would not like them running our country.

As much as I dislike Helen Zille, I am leaning towards DA as I can see no alternative at the moment.

Some more reasons to get rid of the corrupt scum in Government:

DG gets R1.5m – for doing nothing

The man, who is getting his remuneration package of R1.5m a year while sitting at home, is Siviwe Dongwana, the director general of the department of public works.

He has not been working since December 2010 because he is being investigated for alleged misconduct and dereliction of duty.

He was suspended only seven months after his appointment.

Report: Prison boss was bribed

A shock report by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) claims a mansion was built for former prisons boss Linda Mti by a company that received tenders worth R1.5 billion on his watch.

The report nails facilities management group Bosasa, headed by the politically connected businessman Gavin Watson, for bribing Mti and the former chief financial officer of the prisons department, Patrick Gillingham.

City Press is in possession of a copy of the report that has been kept under wraps after it was handed to correctional *services minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula by the SIU in September 2009.

Dit gaan lekker ne' satanboy?

Why do the DA have such a majority of white leadership? They also need to play the race card. If their leadership is more in line with the demographics of our country, then maybe the votes will reflect that.

exactly

The DA is ways more representative of the population race ratio (in Western Cape) then any other party! On the other hand, what you are saying, shows how 'racist minded' things in South Africa are. I agree with you though. Clearly the majority of people can not see past the 'racial factor'. Charles Darwin was right after all. I f and hate him and his theories :D

As much as people who live there might like to think, the Western Cape only makes up a small part of South Africa, and looking here: http://www.da.org.za/our_people.htm?action=view-page&category=national-leaders

I see not one black face.

Could you pls break down the wc executive and compare it to it's demographics?

You'd get far too many whites and only a few coloureds. Funny thing is that the ANC really is the most representative in the WC, they even have enough white members at senior level and they actually represent blacks in the province plus now they're trying to get as many coloured votes as possible, hence Marius Fransman and his new mostly coloured leadership.

I don't think an executive of 11 people should bother to play race politics at all though, you can't afford to appoint even 1 member just because of race when you've only got 11 people who are running things.

The only facts he could possibly be referring to where the ones in my post which were the most explicit type of facts.. plain numbers. Way to prove his point though.

I think the primary reasons black people move from the Eastern Cape to the Western are purely economical and social. They would be moving here with or without the ANC, and they'd be moving here in almost as big numbers even if the ANC wanted them to move to KZN instead. The ANC definitely have a political motive for wanting them to move, but it's a very obvious migration in search of jobs and basic services that would have been happening for years if they weren't forced to stay in the bantustans under apartheid. The actual portion of people being shipped in by the ANC is probably completely negligible in terms of the mass migration.

How you tell people to get an education after a post like that should be the real question.

I think ... snip

Economics might play a part, but it is carefully steered, hence the Malema's...

Time to take of the blinkers people.
