For many years I have been using a bog standard Tedelex stove top pressure cooker and had nothing but joy in using it.
A while ago, I was gifted a Logik Electric pressure cooker, and ran into problems immediately.
1. When using the meat selector, it does not cook game properly, even if I advance the time setting from the fifteen minutes default to 25 minutes. I had to go through three 25 minute cycles before the meat was somewhat tender. When I use my Tedelex, the same meat, after 30 min, is so tender that it falls from the bone.
2. When making bredies (similar to stews), even if I don't add water, I'm left with soup.
3, I cannot seal jars in it, it appears that the pressure is too low.

Am I doing something wrong, are electric pressure cookers in general bad, or is the brand of electric pressure cooker I received junk? Can someone that also can food in glass jars perhaps advise me on an electric pressure cooker that works similar to a stove top pressure cooker?
Regards

I've had a similar experience with an AEG pressure cooker. I kept getting an error code telling me to add more liquid until all I could get was watered down soupy meals. I eventually ended up giving it away to a charity shop.

you above both need to wander off to here:

I suspect the brand is rubbish or the seal isn't fitted properly.

Does it eject steam at all when you release it?

I haven't specifically tried the things you mentioned but my Defy one (I think) is pretty good.

I recently bought an instant pot with ucount rewards & been using it non-stop since, just last night I cooked a rooibos & ginger beer gammon in 45 minutes. Highly recommended appliance..
