What happens during load-shedding, do they have an UPS ?

Even worse than the nets are the drum lines they use in many places around the world. They kill hundreds of sharks a year just to try and keep them away from beaches. Hopefully this can replace those systems.

This is based on the Shark Shield which showed positive results.

Trust South Africans to put an electric fences everywhere, even our sea.

How much power would it draw? I guess that generating the frequency doesn't require much, but to get it to run in the ocean may take a substantial amount of power.
