Hey all,

Just a quick question busy with kitchen renovations. Planning the plug points. Will catch up with electrician next week but I want to check if all planned points below are acceptable:

Start with plugs left to right.

1. 2 plug points 1-1.2m away from tap
2. 1 plug point about 10-20cm away from electrical induction hob
3. 1 Isolator and plug point

1. I dont believe this is an issue.
2. I dont believe this is an issue
3. How close can I put the isolator to the hob? At the moment the isolator is just off to the right of the plug noted in point 2.

Where is a guide or something I can read to understand the requirements for my own knowledge

your sparky can deviate from this , depending on how safe he feels it is .lots he can do to make it easy and uncomplicated .plenty wiggle room .you dont allways need a dedicated stove circuit .

Can't comment on your question. But have you considered these options?

OT but also have you considered a counter-sunk waste bin?

The plastic bin it comes with is rather small. I have one and installed it above the main waste bin cupboard. So when you pull open my waste bin cubboard door there is a standard large waste bin but without the lid. When the cupboard is closed and you open the countertop waste bin everything you throw away falls directly into the main waste bin.

Just a tip. But it is rather convenient.

Also have you considered installing a tap above the stove top?

Thanks much appreciated! The stove circuit is there already I just want to try figure how close I can put that isolator am I correct that 1m should be OKnfrom the reading.

Also. Ami correct that the other plug points also appear to be ok?

This is a pretty cool one.

Plumstead Electric have these items in charcoal and off-white. Don't get a cheapie riser plug, they are not well made and tend to come apart

Plug can be close to water as long as it’s on earth leakage ..how would washing machines ever get wired
If you struggling for position of a isolater - do you have a board in same room as just put in double pole breaker as isolater in that board

Howzit where can U buy these?never seen it before..looks very handy
Veti makes the omni cluster. I see builders sell them but if you google hard you may find other brands.

The pop-up sockets are moerse covenient as well. You get different brands and obviously different quality units. WIth the pop-up units you obviously need to ensure there are enough space in the cupboard for the unit to sink in.

Google is your friend.
