Electrical COC questions

Thanks much appreciated! The stove circuit is there already I just want to try figure how close I can put that isolator am I correct that 1m should be OKnfrom the reading.

Also. Ami correct that the other plug points also appear to be ok?
as long as on earth leakage plugs can be virtually anywhere ,just use common sense ,you dont want EL trips all the time when washing up a storm ,isolator anywhere in the room ,try keep it away from the back of the cooker ,ie shouldn't have to reach over cooker to turn it off .

A COC will give you some recourse if you buy a house and the COC issued by the seller's electrician proves to be inadequate or missed something important

If this proves to be the case, the local issuing authority will send an inspector to view the offending item and direct the electrician to make it good

But this is a time consuming exercise and if the electrician does not turn up to do the work, you have to advise this authority. If it is something really serious, like inadequate cable diameter or insufficient number of circuit-breakers, then they will take action

City of Cape Town's electrical inspection division is quite particular that work is done correctly, but their staff are a bit stretched

its a good thing ,the only people i find that dislike getting a coc are the people that have done the install themselves with zero knowledge and have botched it up ,there is so much leeway with coc ,but they fight the hardest ,i just smile and wave and walk away ,cant be bothered ,not my problem ,put it in an annex for the property and file it .

Seems like makro and takealot if you search multiple plug socket
stay away from the gadgets on the counter top ,after 2 years you will wish they never existed ,thats why they allways on special .seal around the hobs with proper sealant that cant pull out with washing like silicon glue does ,most go black quickly and look kak .maybe put extractor outlet on a flexi pipe and try get it outside with a cowl ,keeps the home from smelling up .

There is no consequence if the electrician simply refuses, or simply says that problem was not there when he did the check.

Hey all didnt want to start a new thread.

So quick question I have set out the "electricity chasing" diagrams below.

1 - I know is not a problem.

2 - due to existing plug points this may be a pref route if its possible to take. 1. Has the flow all in one line but 2 has the power split between the three plugs on the left and one on the right.

Will confirm with sparky later but confirming potential routes so long.

looks fine ,think about galvanised pressfit conduit ,me i hate plastic ,either 2.5 mm or 4mm wire ,prefer 4 mm ,more headroom .just remember you cant use the stove isolator standard circuit for more than one socket outlet unless you put it on EL unit and have protection on each socket outlet .if using a fixed stove coupler then EL on stove circuit not needed .
