Electricity price increase for Cape

Like every 4 or 5 days, I buy about R500-R600 a month.

Madness I tell you.

Buy in the beginning of the month as you get more then. Also if you are with FNB buy through them as you get bonus tokens.

My flat mate and I bought R100 voucher last week and received just short of 120 units. We use about 15 units a day.

Its a tiered system... the more you use, the more you pay...

Did not know about FNB bonus tokens though?

EDIT: anyone know if you use your credit card to buy prepaid electricity via FNB if its treated as a credit transaction, or cash transaction?

I need to look into this!

Hope I am not wrong as that is what my flat mate says. I give him R200 / month and he adds R200 and buys it via mobilephone / fnb.

Hope I understood him correctly :o

Cash Transaction as the commission on CC will wipe out the profits. I use to link my CC and saw the higher bank charges, I now use Capitec mobile banking to buy my electricity.

Makes no difference when you buy. What matters is how much you buy during the month.
