On my inverter the "power" switch only turns on/off the battery backup function, the AC / Wall connection will always pass through
There should be a manual to show you what the lights mean, I have a green light that flashes when its charging and solid when its charged

I'm not understanding fully, pics will help to get better responses, I'm assuming this is an all in one setup you buy with a battery in a box, in which case you never switch it off.
When you have eskom power, the inverter will charge the battery and keep it full, while at the same time sending that power to whatever is plugged into the inverter.
When the power trips the inverter automatically switches over to using the batteries to power the things plugged into it.

When plugged into electricity it won't switch off because it is using the electricity. Switch it off at the wall and it will be switched off. All you doing by pressing that button is telling it not to switch over to the batteries, in other words if loadshedding kicks in, the inverter will switch off. So make sure it is always on, and if you don't want to use it, then plug it out and switch it off. Not sure why you want to do that though......
Why would you want it to be switched off when connected to electricity anyways?
It will probably charge 8-10 hours. You don't need to do anything. It is a UPS.
This is how it works:
When power is on. It uses mains power and charges the batteries. It will automatically stop charging once the batteries are full (will take a couple of many hours). When power goes off, it will switch over to batteries (therefore you do not want it to be switched off). When power comes back on it will switch over to mains power and charge batteries again.
But then again, it depends what you have.

I charged fully the battery, now there is no noise.
The the blu lcd oannel stays swiched on.
I want to be able t swich the on and off button when im not in the house. This button doesn't allow me to swich off the inverter.
The only way wilud be to unplugged the inverter.
Is this normal?

No you must not worry sir. Your machine will switch off when no power from government.
When the power goes iff the inverter will start working.
To avoid that when im away i need to unplugged the invertor every time..is this correct?

It is normal to leave it one permanently, there is no need to keep switching it off and on.
The noise stopped probably due to the internal fan on the inverter cooling the charging unit, so when the battery is full the fan turns off.
Some inverters when you have eskom power coming into the inverter it will still feed that power to the things plugged in as mentioned by Leno, so the unit stays "on" only because its passing the power from eskom through:
Generally speaking everyone just leaves it switched on and plugged in, it is designed to operate that way.

No this is not correct. It will only start working if you pressed that button (there should be a "online" symbol). If you want to you can press the button to tell it not to switch over to battery. So when you are away and the power goes off, the inverter will also switch off.

means it doesn't carry a lot of load. So you probably only have something small plugged in. This is good. Your batteries will last longer when power goes off.
This means your inverter is 99-100%. If 100% you wont hear the fan noise. IT can still take an hour or two to reach 100% charge even with all 4 bars showing.Amazing suport guys..so nuce,
Lastly when battery is full, and tv is plugged inn, does the tv, lights okugged inn uses the power from the battery or eskom?

eskom, until the there is load shedding or the eskom power goes off for any reason.
As long as there is eskom power the tv/lights will get power from eskom. it doesn't matter if the battery is full or half or empty.
Do me a favour, please switch the inverter "on" and send another pic.

It will only switch of if there is no power, in other words hit the switch at the wall..... eish... unless you have the button pressed to tell it to switch over to the batteries. The beep is telling you it is gonna switch over to the batteries when the power goes off.

When you see this:
It will switch off when the power goes off. You can also test this by hitting the wall switch/unplug. The unit will turn off.
So when you go to town, just make sure it does not show "LINE MODE". Then all will be cool and it won't switch over to batteries. You don't need to unplug anything.
