Hi Everyone :)

Hope this is my last thread in getting setup!! My Coaxial provides a slightly snowy picture on the RF Link - so my question - do those Ellies Signal Amplifiers work??

Thanks!!!

I assume you are talking about a mast amp and power supply. Yes they do work. But if there is something else wrong with the installation you will just make it worse with the amp.

Hi,

I saw a goodie at pick 'n pay that plugs into the wall and then the coaxial cables for the near and far tvs. All cabling runs to the downstairs TV. I then have a connection in my room where the RF-out of the deocder is linked to. This is the picture that's snowy.

Thx

The Ellies "SB5" setback amplifier works best in my experience for post decoder amplification. This means outgoing to additional points from the RF OUT on a decoder.

Thanks Develex - can you give me a brief description of how the cabling would work - ie RF to?

Also, do you think it is worth it?

RF OUT on the decoder to "IN" on the amplifier. The SB5 has two output's called "Near TV" & "Far TV" - This should speak for itself....
You also have the option to adjust the output signal in order to balance the output and obviously not over-amplify. Last but not least it's got the option to pass DC if you're using a TV link.

[Edited] - Yes it's definitely worth the money if you're splitting to a number of televisions and/or over long distances.
