email account charging

Last year because of communication cable robbery I had to cancel my ADSL and get a new wifi contract for 10GB with Telkom.

Had to reconnect my email.

Now every month I am charged for an email account.

My question is wifi contract comes with free email account why should I be charged for it?

Or I am wrong?

Did you use Telkom Internet as your ISP with the ADSL?

If you now have a Telkom mobile connection, Telkom Internet is not your ISP anymore, and if you want to keep using the telkomsa e-mail address you need to pay for it.

I do not think the Telkom mobile connection will have any e-mail address attached to it, my Telkom mobile contract haven't ever had that.

The yearly fee to retain your Telkom ADSL e-mail address for mobile use is R158,25.

Just get a free email address (google, yahoo, microsoft...) or even better get your own domain. Own domain (only for email) should not cost much more than a lowly @telkomsa.net email address
