Just moved our mail to a new host only to find email communications are not encrypted.

Require +-15 mailboxes
Reliable and speedy delivery
Quick Support

Decent spam filter that does not block, but rather flags as spam.

Not keen on Office365

Shortlist thus far Digiserv/Hetzner/Elitehost/afrihost

Digiserv seem to have a nice offering with a simple migration... But besides one rant here, almost no user reviews.

What is wrong with Office365?
Get 50GB mailbox with antispam, backed up and encrypted end to end. All with activsync which means multi device connectivity

It should be pretty straightforward to drop a certificate on the server and use TLS.

This doesnt mean the actual emails are encrypted, just the communication between the sender and the server IF they both use TLS.
The emails on the server will be easily readable by anyone with admin access.

I'm guessing he's meaning TLS or SSL but lets see...
Yes, exactly that, yes I realize that is only encrypting the communication, but not doing so seems ridiculous.

I do not want to discuss why I am not keen on office 365, point is, that is not an option.

I can probably name you a handful of companies that aren't listed on mybb that offer more in terms of email hosting than hetzner/eliethost and all the other ones mentioned on this very forum.

Google should point you in their direction.

I was wondering about that, the service provider did not offer this as an option, but rather tried to sell office 365

Why not save us the trouble?

I would suggest Rackspace. It's $1 per mailbox, gives you unlimited aliases, webmail (10gb storage), excellent spam filtering (marks as spam) and encrypted. Their servers haven't been down as it's a cloud based service, never had downtime with them and never had any issues sending or receiving emails. Worth the price IMO

Web Crew.... They've recently removed their mail-only offerings from their website because it seemed they packed unlimited mailboxes into even their cheapest hosting package. I can't imagine you can go wrong with them :)

Google Apps for Business. Very secure. Runs on the Gmail base, but gives you more control, and is easy to set up and maintain. $5 per mailbox per month. Can't go wrong with Google.

How many mails are you sending a day in total? There's really no need to go to someone like Rackspace, SSL and email hosting is a basic service. I can provide that for you. I can even give you a test account on another domain to check if it meets your needs.

And your servers as spam free/not blacklisted/properly rdns'ed/dcim signatures etc?

You get full control of your server but yes DKIM and SPF enabled if you want it, as well as a dedicated IP if desired.
