I've done a search but couldn't find anything.

Can anyone recommend a email marketing company that will send out bulk emails to a targeted audience?

I've found a few site, target.co.za etc, but they only provide software. I've heard of a company called Naxium (something like this), but Google'd and couldn't find anything.

Any recommendations?

TIA

Why not do it yourself? There loads of paid solutions that I would rather use myself than pay a company for.

mailchimp
madmimi
campaignmonitor

to name a few

If you want to spam people then you'll have to figure it out by yourself.

I personally think Aweber for the price and what you get is really good, I put my vote with them.

Agreed with cbrunsdonza on this one.. (after managing mail marketing campaigns for a few client before).

BUT of the solutions I used, I found campaignmonitor to be one of the better ones.

On my way to the Jollly Roger the other day, I saw a company called MailGloo, with a catchy slogan "email marketing that stick". It sounds like the type of company that you're looking for.

But please tell me you're not planning to send out spam. Email marketing to your customers is one thing, but everyone hates unsolicited emails

Ok, it's maybe not such a good idea ... but what I had in mind, wasn't spamming, honestly. It was more of an email advertising our business with the option to unsubscribe. The email was intended to be sent out say once a month or bi-monthly. I was just looking into the idea.

The last thing I want to do is ruin my company's image.

That is a pretty cool slogan :-D!

Bi-montlhly/monthly for a mattress company? Er the content won't warrant that.
Rather look at google ads.

Ehm. One of our clients that sells solar technologie sends out their newsletter twice a month to theire subscribed customers. Recently they have sent out a special to their db, which contains roughly 5000 contacts. The very next day they made over a 1100 sales. I think that is warrant enough.

If you have the permisison to email your clients, Email marketing is still the best way to market your products to the most cost effective way.

Get http://www.phplist.com/ <- it's Open Source. Do it yourself. (we use this at work, and others.)

You just need to ensure that your host allows bulk email - many shared hosts either limit outgoing mail or ban it altogether as it can get their server blacklisted which will affect other shared clients on the server.

The best route is to use an online service like Campaign Monitor - they have relationships with many of the large ISPs and provide you with all the tools you need to send out legitimate bulk email.

try graphicmail.co.za - mailchimp is pretty good. WebAfrica offers this as well.

I wouldn't go with web africa... if you have 10 people to email, maybe, but as soon as that list grows into a couple of thousand their mail system slows down faster than my niece in 2nd grade with 6grade math...
