Ok, so I'll not waste time to test :( Battle enough as it is with the disconnections when losing ssh during a system rebuild.

Before I get clobbered for using the word "alleging", I read what Marcus posted, and took into account the source of his info, i.e. the WBS ksedpleh, and also realised that they had his account info at the time, and if he is able to use smtp servers other than smtp.wbs.co.za on port 25, then in all likelihood WBS have enabled this on his account, and not necessarily reversed their draconianism...

If your e-mail is rejected a non-delivery report is generated I assume

I have sent emails to one of the domains I run, where all inbound emails [for the domain] get logged, this logging before any spam filtering or anything else, and these emails sent using smtp.wbs.co.za are simply not being relayed by smtp.wbs.co.za...

Just lovely, so when I work from home, and I use their SMTP server, all is lost in outer nothingness ... now to figure out how many of those never went through.

Dammit!

So I would not know whether they have been sent or not?
Not unless the recipient's mail client or recipient domain mail server sends you a notification [assuming you have requested read and/or delivery notifications], however you should note that not all recipient domains support sending delivery notifications, or like my domains, sending of delivery notifications is disabled due to the additional bandwidth it uses...

My concern was exactly that

Apparently I can't even relay through smtp.wbs.co.za any more from my own mail server... :(

Edit: Seems to be fine again...
