Email program/reader

Does any one recommend a good free Email client for ubuntu, I know there are web based alternatives but I dont trust them because they arnt SSL based.

Thunderbird should get the job done? Isn't it preinstalled on Ubuntu?

I've been through a couple but ended up using webmail.

Thunderbird k@ks af with big email accounts.

Try geary I use it on Linux, however have not tested it with a large email account

I use mutt on my computer & phone, and more than satisfied. ymmv
