hi guys,

just wanted to know if you prefer using telkomsa.net with outlook or some other web email provider like gmail, Yahoo etc.

does it really chow your into your cap if using outlook?

well outlook is just a email client. You can use it with gmail, yahoo and telkom. The only way it will chow into your cap is if the emails are very big and it should be the same using either gmail, yahoo or telkom.

I would say the only benefit of going with telkom is it proverbly uses local cap, so once yr caped you can still use email.

if you change isp, i dont think you get to keep you telkom e-mail address which is a proble.

For me Gmail is the best!

Are you meaning the standalone outlook client or SaaS outlook that you access through your webbrowser?

I am with GMail as well. I can obviously just link outlook to their server if need be. I just used up my cap and could not get to gmail hence my question above. anyway i quickly checked gmail on my phone and confirmed I downloaded about half a gig more than my 1GB cap. thanks all.

I'm still using webmail, got the account like 7 or so years ago. Worst email Provider ever...sent myself a test email about 1:30 and still hasn't come through, now if only gmail had my same username...

Yeah they are pretty slow. I think i have an email with them as well only so i could use their webfax facility which I have forwarded to my gmail and ananzi accounts now.

if you international cap runs out and you just want to read your gmail, setup forwarding to your local telkom account.
