Emails not being sent nor being received

Hey there,

I am using a router which has a solid firewall and i don't find it easy opening it's port, the guy at the computer shop said that this should not be a problem, as long as i can connect to the web i can send emails.. now the email settings i have made 100000% sure its all correct.
I am using a 1 ported router which is connected to another router via ethernet port 1 ( acts as switch )
and then port 2 /3 goes to my computers which does enable them to connect them to connect to the internet.

I am using Algoanet for my emails.. If anyone could help it would be appreciated
 
What errors are you receiving on send and receive? Can you use their webmail interface without problems? Have you contacted their support?
