i think if it s about iburst and we don't actually mention illegal files whats the problem
Well, like I said in my p.m. it is debatble, so go ahead post the thread [poetic?], if it turns out that the thread has nothing to do with iBurst it will more than likely join the rest of the P2P discussions in the Off [iBurst] Topic forum ;).

if u check on iBurst web site it says that on 3GB cap account all other application such a P2P will be restricted to 64k....so here i cant get even 0k not a 64k....
Its illegal what iBurst does...Nowere in the world P2P is shaped....
So then why we paying 699p.m have a 3GB cap and limited from everything...?

canada shapes p2p so does australia and lots of other places now shape version 4 of the bittorrent protocol because it now marks packets as bulk, but yeah you wont get 64kbit like you should.

Discussing specific illegal content is a no, no. But discussing how to make p2p applications work with Iburst is a yes, yes.

how would one go about configuring said applications to work on the iburst noburst throttle?

i have tried shareaza without joy. are there specific settings you use? Would really appreciate your help as I am sure a lot of people would.

you have to either make a bridge, that is an app that will send the peer data to a proxy server or just configure a proxy server in the app, I was gonna make a whole thread on how to find a fast proxy, (30KB/s +). but if you can afford $10 just go get yourself a US VPN server username and you get 10GB transfer with it, then you use a bridge app to send all p2p data to the server and they send it back fast as um a fast thing.

Thier torrent shaping can be totally bypassed using these means, you dont even need to encrypt the data, only problem... finding a fast reliable proxy without paying

Ok that whole bridge app thing went WAY over my head. Can you maybe give a slightly more detailed account on how to do it? This is very much Iburst related by the way.

And if I read right you can just configure a proxy in the app itself?? How would you do that?

does the same restrictions affect skype?
My Skype hasn't worked now for over a week - even chatting in Skype was being disconnected, but then I hardly had any measurable speed anyway so there's no point.
