Sadly my netgear modem is no longer with me and I have a crappy old Billion BiPAC 7402G.

http://www.billion.com/product/wireless/bipac7402g-wireless-adsl2-vpn-firewall-router.html

For the life of me I can't seem to find the PPPoE relay option on the Billion, my netgear had it.

PPPoE relay enabled me to dial up ADSL connections on multiple PCs on the network.

However the Billion does not have this option, it only allows me to have 1 connection going at any one time and this connection must be dialed using the modem itself so its utterly useless.

My mweb uncapped account sucks for gaming and thats why I have an axxess account, my mweb account must always be connected (using the modem to share the connection on the network) and I must be able to dial the axxess connection from my pc (by manually setting my IP to avoid using the shared mweb connection)... My netgear let me do this.

Does anyone know if the Billion router has this setting somewhere? I really need it. thanks

...Or you could come bug me to figure it out while I'm busy studying... oh, wait ^.^

If anyone is having this problem, the way we enabled PPPoE with passthrough was to 'change' the connection type that was being used under Configuration - WAN - ISP... it seems like on this specific router / firmware version one is not able to create the required connection 'from scratch' but by selecting 'change' on an existing connection the option is available.

You can setup this function on the router by setting the ADSL protocol to “ Multi Session with PPPoE pass-through”. You can adjust the protocol on the “WAN Profile” setup page on the “WAN”sub-menu.If your router does not have this option under the available protocols, simply download the latest firmware from the Billion SA website ( www.billionsa.com ), the latest firmware for this unit does have this feature. You will then be able to setup a main shared PPPoE connection on the router, as well as setup PPP connections on the individual PCs. ;)
