Hi. Can someone maybe confirm if my findings are true or false:
When you encrypt a file on Windows 7 with the built-in EFS and email that file to another person, they cannot open the file without the key/certificate. However if you compress the encrypted file with Winrar then send it, the recipient can unrar the file which automatically removes the encryption.
I tested it on my pc's at home and at the office but my resources are limited. Can anyone confirm please. Surely it can't be this easy to steal and decrypt files.
