just spoke to them. the multigrade is at R199. 5W40 is at R249. Still cheaper. thx

Got the 7l from bmw midrand plus oil filter for R595. Also got oil extractor for R550 from midas. Hope it works.

I think it is one of those things that pump the oil out and hold it

Correct. Used it earlier on this evening.worked like a charm. No jacking up the car, no spills and getting burnt from the oil. The car took 6l of new oil. Will check it again tomoro and top up if necessary.

Does it work as well as removing the sump plug though? Also where does it suck out, the dipstick hole?

I assume you know but check when cold, I.e before you start it in the morning.

From all the reviews it works well. There was very little left on the sump. Plus I could suck up the old oil in the filter housing.

As for the level, I went for a drive, then let it rest for a minute. Checked again and it was just on max. Will check when cold in the morning.
