There's a nutritional drink called Ensure.

In order to save time in the morning, I'm considering having Ensure for breakfast, rather than toast.

Does Ensure taste nice? How do you make it? Do you need to add milk? Is it a hot drink?

I don't like milkshakes.

Its a cold drink, you add water. Its a healluva lot healthier than toast. I know that the hospitals give it to patients as a SUPPLEMENT ie my uncle used to get it because he could not eat after chemo.
I would not live off it though after all its still processed food.

Rather get one of those big protein shakers that bodybuilders use and put some pronutro into it and then put some Ensure along with the pronutro, it will taste like crap but the combination will be considered more of a "proper food" than the Ensure on its own...

Can also use FutureLife?

FutureLife is also an option. Has a decent protein and carb content. Beats toast

I bought a box of that futurelife "pronutro" equivalent. Nowhere near as good as pronutro. Very grainy texture and it is very thick and pasty for lack of a better word. Will not be buying it again.

Yeah, I agree that it can be grainy. Think it's intended as a high protein meal replacement/breakfast hybrid. Offers more nutritional value than say pronutro

Yeah, it's not everyone's cup of tea.

It does provide an alternative & can be mixed with water instead of milk. Consistency, like pronutro, can be changed by adding extra fluids...

Ensure is very very tasty, especially the vanilla flavour. You will look for excuses to taste/drink it. It also has something that doesn't dry up your digestive tract or something similar to that.

I tried a copy of Ensure, not sure of the name but didn't enjoy it as much.

Ensure comes in a powder form that you mix, or ready made. I would never touch it, I've seen it on too many hospital bedside tables.

Dieticians give it to patients who are struggling to eat/swallow or are underweight.

I've heard it tastes nice though. My colleague used to drink it all the time.
