Ensuring protection against power surges

It is disappointing to see that this article barely skims the surface of the problem and does not give any recommendations.
Of what use is that? One more example of poor journalism.

Why don't ICTWorld not just sell advertising on masthead as well. Seems everything they publish is advertising with no attempt at editorial or news!

Don't know if I should laugh or cry - having been in the business for ages, and designed one of the best protection units, but sadly there is little chance of anything coming of it

We would be happy to test it for you O Dragonly One....:D
Having been surged repeatedly over the years and lost more equipment than I care to remember... even after buying a UPS... your best protection unit sounds very attractive.....:D

We had another power failure last Friday and it was damn freaky. The lights dipped and there was this noise like pressure in the pipes for about a minute. It was like a UFO abduction scene form a cheap Hollywood movie :o. Then it went away and a minute later the power went. Real freaky. I thought that was the end of out appliances but thankfully everything is fine. At least for now.
