Having been surged repeatedly over the years and lost more equipment than I care to remember... even after buying a UPS... your best protection unit sounds very attractive.....

We had another power failure last Friday and it was damn freaky. The lights dipped and there was this noise like pressure in the pipes for about a minute. It was like a UFO abduction scene form a cheap Hollywood movie . Then it went away and a minute later the power went. Real freaky. I thought that was the end of out appliances but thankfully everything is fine. At least for now.
