Hi guys!!

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong section :(

We have a PBX system installed in our office (not sure by who) and they "rent" it to us each month for a ridiculous price. It is an extremely outdated system with barely any features, we would like to get rid of it ASAP.

We are looking to replace the PBX with something else that does the same job. I know you get free solutions such as Asterisk. What would be the best and cheapest solution for us? We have 2 analogue phone lines coming in that need to be split across a fax machine, a receptionist who directs the calls and several phones. We have a spare desktop that is connected to the current PBX

I hope someone has a solution for us. Thank you in advance!

You have just provided us with exactly 0.1% of the information requited to provide you with a solution.

If you are serious about finding a proper solution, please PM me. Tx.

At that size you could probably get away with a hosted PBX quite easily.

Agreed with Mighty, there isnt enough information to even recommend any possible solutions.

Either give more info or PM and I can help guide you.

Hi,

By the fact that you only have 2 lines indicates to me that this is a small system and i endorse what Morkhans says. Hosted solutions are perfect to replace small legacy PBX , in fact they offer you enterprise class PBX functionality, available to the micro SME, If you care to PM me i will gladly explain what your options are in this regard.

A couple of things i have learned in communications if it ant broke dont fix it .
