Conclusion
As ever, there is no clear cut winner. Each of the devices has a unique set of features that will appeal to a different type of consumer.
Sure it is. Think about what most people really use their computers for. I look at my dad and he browses and emails. . . . my mother-in-law browses, emails, and plays games . . . my step mother likes to edit the occasional video and photo but on the whole she's browsing and emailing. Now everything I've mentioned, including the movie and photo editing, is well suited to a tablet. This is the stupidest article I have ever read on myBB.
How anyone can compare an iPad to a laptop is beyond comprehension. The iPad is NOT an alternative to any kind of computer. It is primarily used to CONSUME media and and exchange information. It is NOT a replacement for a laptop.
From now on instead of saying it can't try saying I dont know how to because it can and I do it all the time. The iPad is useless as a standalone device.
About a month back my PC required a file for the Internet to work ... I couldnt get it.
It can't be made a HDD and can't download anything from the web.
Android folk in the office laughed that I couldn't do anything, but at least they helped out and downloaded the file for me
Ok.
I don't know how to - but it certainly doesn't do it (or much) from the box.
What do I need?
Goodreader. I use it to download the file and then transfer it to where I want it via wifi.Of course you'll need it to be jail broken, add a file system and a download manager + iFunbox and pretty much anything can be downloaded and transferred. Its not ideal but I have yet to find a task which cannot be done on the device alone, would enjoy it slightly more if everything wasn't such a mission to set up initially.....
Bwana do you have a simpler method to do the above mentioned?
iPad weakness: No built in keyboard/trackpad.

Excellent point.Wait, what? :wtf:
It has the biggest "trackpad" of them all! A huge transparent one with a nice screen beneath it.
Identifying the iPad's lack of trackpad as a weakness, is like calling the Samsung's lack of a floppy drive a weakness. Doesn't make sense!
