Episodes app crash OP5 running xXx no limits custom rom/kernel/root

Okay, need some help here. Just installed the 3T version of the xXx No limits rom on my daughters phone. Now one of her most used apps crashes. I installed the same app on my OP5 running No limits and the app crashes on my device too!! Is it likely a rom issue? ElementalX kernals on both devices... maybe kernel? Can anyone replicate this?

This is driving me frigging nuts!! sh ideas.

Episodes permissions are greyed out in app settings but from what I can gather this app requires certain permissions to function. When installing the app off of the Playstore I'm not getting the usual accept permissions prompts/requests....

What the hell am I missing here?

I've tried installing the rom without adblocker, alternated between magisk/supersu, different kernels from stock to blu to elemental, tried older versions of Episodes, my last option is to flash stock rom and test...

Magisk safetynet check is clean so what the hell next???

I've installed the rom with extreme debloating options so possibly a key component missing? Think I'll flash bloated and revert.... mmmmmmm....

EDIT: Even with zero debloat the app crashes...
