Ek doen "Scrapbooking" en het om die rede sopas 'n nuwe Epson drukker gekoop. EPSON STYLUS RX 640. Ek het hom nog nie uitgepak nie, want ek bestudeer nog die handleiding.
Daar is iets wat ek nie verstaan nie en sal graag wil hoor of iemand my kan sê: Aangesien die drukker 'n UBS poort het, kan ek my foto's op 'n uitwendige hardeskyf sit en d.m.v. die USB poort na die drukker stuur om gedruk te word?

Nee oom, oom kan nie die drukker met die uitwendige hardeskyf koppel nie, ongelukkig nie, oom sal die drukker aan die rekenaar moet koppel, en sodoende die rekenaar met die uitwendige hardeskyf moet gebruik om te druk.

Dis net hoe die goed werk, ongelukkig maar net so

Oom hoef ook nie die handleiding op te lees nie, installeer die drukker en begin speel! Dis die beste manier om te leer

I do "Scrapbooking" and have bought myself a new Epson printer, The EPSON STYLUS RX 640. I am busy reading the manual and haven't unpacked it yet. I want to know if I can connect the printer to my external harddrive, load the photos on the harddrive and print directly from the harddrive via USB?

Dankie vir die vinnige antwoord. Sal dan maar nog 'n PC moet aanskaf want my studeerkamer met die PC is op die boonste verdieping en my "Scrapbook"- tafels onder !
Hopelik kan ek die twee koppel dan kan ek die gestoorde foto's sommer direk van die ou rekenaar na die nuwe drukker stuur om gedruk te word. Is dit moontlik ?

Ek dink oom sal baie werk vir homself maak om die twee rekenaars met mekaar te link, gebruik die externe hardeskyf eerder en koppel dit op die nuwe rekenaar.

Goed, ek weet ek kan die foto's d.m.v.die hardeskyf op my nuwe rekenaar gebruik, maar kan ek deur die twee rekenaars te koppel, die programme wat tans op die bestaande rekenaar is op my nuwe rekenaar gebruik? By voorbeeld my kaartjiesprogramme ?

ok, excuse the english, but it'll be a lot quicker and intelligble.

This MPF is quite an impressive bit of kit if I go by the manual.

You can print directly without connecting to a computer. But only in certain ways.

You can print directly from your camera as long as it is pictbridge compliant. You should find this marked on the camera, or it will be in the manual.

You can print directly from the memory card that your camera uses. The common formats are supported - Compact flash (Canon), SD (HP) and memory stick (Sony). You need to check that the camera is setup according to the specs on page 15 of your manual.

You can print from a external attached data source (CD, USB flash drive), but apparently only if you have copied files to it from a memory card inserted into the printer.

Can you print from an attached external hard drive? Maybe. I suggest copying some photos to your external drive and connecting it to the printer using the pictbridge port (should be in the front), and see if the files are recognised. A little research on the DCF and exif v2.21 formats may help.

I haven't used this particular printer so a little experimentation on your part may be required, but it looks like you can get away with using the printer in your downstairs room without having to connect to the computer upstairs, at the very least by printing directly off your camera's memory card.

Thanks ! I am printing the advice so that I can try everything! I read that I can print from my memory card ( I've got a Sony camara ) but I want to be able to store the photo's and print later. I take hundreds of photo's per month and only print wat I need for a specific Scrapbook page.

Gezina - jy het vroeer gevra of jy 2 rekennars kan koppel en die program deel - jy kan die rekenaars op 'n netwerk sit, maar nie die program gebruik behalwe as jy dit op die nuwe rekenaar instaleer. Maar dis 'n hele nuwe onderwerp op sy eie.
