Equivalent UNISA degree to BSC:IT?

Ok so after looking at the course material and getting flashbacks to failing calculas,derivitives etc I have decided to rather do the informatics Bsc as its more project management/business/financial orientated but still has the programming aspect.

I passed FAC1502 with distinction, exam is difficult because of the time allocated feels not enough. I rush through the exam and finish with 1 minute to spare. The only math in FAC1502 is basic addition, subtracting and work out percentages. COS1521 has number conversion, logic gates and search/sorting algorithm.
 
Ok so im a full stack developer for the past 10 years I just want my qualifications so that i have more options in the future as to where I would like to end up.

I specialise in c# win and webforms(aspx), soap webservices and databases.I tinker around in Android and unreal engine for fun.

BSC Computing looks like the one that would fit me best, but I hated calculas when I studied it at Tuks.

I did the UNISA BSc Informatics (graduated only last year) and find as a nearly middle 40 something, this is helping me more in my career opportunities. The degree is more business orientated and this helps me when I'm in discussions with other business units outside of engineering.

Also consider beyond just your degree at perhaps an Honours or even Masters. I'm enjoying my honours and glad I'm doing it as it opens up even more exciting opportunities for me. *

I was a manager in my 20’s and 30’s. Now I code most of the time. In my 50’s I hope to be an intern. ;)

Yup. Makes getting international equivalence a lot more straight forward. It’s also usually the first year one touches on the “advanced” stuff.

It is a major step up from my degree. The focus is on research and critical evaluation.

I've only started and already see how this is influencing how I work. I research the problem instead of using muscle memory to patch it. I also back up my findings with facts and not assumptions. And if I don't agree with the facts, I give my critical evaluation as to why instead of arguing that they are wrong.

Also I'm at that stage in my career where there are fewer opportunities if I don't get my honours.
 
For anyone else wondering I did both those Numerical methods modules. I wouldn't recommend taking them unless you took at least calculus B, second year linear algebra and differential equations. They are also way harder than any of the CS modules so unless you really are that interested you'd best stay clear.

There is no programming here. They are basically applied maths modules dedicated to solving equations numerically i.e. coming up with mathematical algorithms to solve problems. Basically the way computers would solve them.

The upshot is that if you ever take up machine learning or do some maths heavy programming It'll be very easy to understand what's going on under the hood of all those libraries you're using. I currently simulate a lot of physical phenomena and I use the experience gained in these modules all the time.
