Hi, I have a new Billion 400G and find after a few days there is no connectivity but all the indicator lights are on and green. Switching off the modem will clear (what I think are the errors that have built up from the incoming line) and all is fine for a few more days. Should I switch off at night to reduce the error build ups. Cheers

My Belkin modem also does that. Not sure if it is error build ups though. If I download at full speed for too long, then the modem tends to freeze after being logged on for long. Usually restart the modem once every few days.

telnet into it and view the logs. some settings (like packet filtering or monitoring or reporting) can cause bad times if not used correctly.

Are you using the wireless? I have the same router and I also noticed that after a while (normally 2 - 3 days) everything just stops responding and even network connectivity dies. I tried resetting everything but to no avail. I then decided to turn off the wifi and now it works perfectly. This is quite annoying, but I currently don't need the wireless. I wonder if I should look for a firmware upgrade maybe.

Take the telephone cable, hold it above your head, and swing it around really fast to get the errors out. That should keep it clear for a while longer than a few days.

Troublesome things, these errors.

Hi, I do use the wireless for our laptop. This week I have been switching off the router when I turn off the computer at night, all now seems to be fine. Maybe Telkom can provide a firmware upgrade

Post your router statistics here. I'm sure someone will help you out.
