Eskom CEO to resign

The Eskom Board has announced that Eskom Group Chief Executive Officer Phakamani Hadebe will step down at the end of July 2019.

According to the Chairman of the Eskom Board, Jabu Mabuza, Phakamani has been instrumental in driving stability at Eskom during a very challenging period at the organisation.

Good step forward
my bru the SOE top peeps always step down when they know they have been caught in some dirty scandal and have no way out. They then lay low for a few months/yrs and then come back in another position in another SOE. viva cANCer
i mean that gigaba wiff a penis shot is all quiet for example, when is he 'cumming' back?

He fired half the senior board and charged them with corruption within months of joining. It seems like he was trying. He is very well qualified and well suited to run Eskom.

I think that now he has seen how rotten it is from the inside, he's abandoning ship to save his reputation.

“It is no secret that this role comes with unimaginable demands which have unfortunately had a negative impact on my health,” said Hadebe.
I wonder if that negative impact was death threats from individuals who want to see the corruption and looting continue.

The fire was too hot and now you jump out.
Employ competent people for a change.

Not while ANC is running the country...

The two are not always related though. Under Zuma perhaps but it feels like there may be reforms happening. Guess we will see when cabinet is announced today?
