We've now joined the ranks of Lebanon, Nigeria and Zimbabwe in continous rolling blackouts, technically parts of Pakistan as well. So the ANC are officially one of the worst African governments now, sigh remember the days when SA was a jewel (and not just for the minority)

Nope cause they fine me if I decide to cut down the big looming monstrosities outside, which also cause endless issues with drains.

Getting worse? Well it aint going to get better any time soon. "News".

Thats it, I think we all need to accept (and I think most have now anyway) that the days of LS are never, ever going to go away...

So you can either spend money to sort out inverters and solar and some security to stop your infrastructure being stolen...or spend money and try and get out while you still can and the Rand still has a tiny bit of value..

**** eskom. The only time I know it's loadshedding is when my laptop's screen dims. Given that I don't watch TV, it doesn't really affect me - power went off at 6 and my laptop's battery is at 78% at the moment. My ONT and router are connected to a normal PC UPS

Bring on stage 8 you useless motherfuckers!!!!

Language. This is a public forum..

these racist colonial articles continue to ignore the fact that our benevolent overlords known as the ANC will soon extract more vibranium from the earth to propel wakanda into forever

viva ANC!

I feel the same way with my solar setup but that doesn't stop the economy being trashed. Just a few big corporates and farms are keeping everything afloat.

100% this. I put solar up at my place in 2018 but I can't afford a massive generator or the diesel needed to keep my small business running during extended periods of power cuts.

Me and the family decided to rather emigrate than have to constantly deal with this.

Lights without social liberties , lights without the right to proper education .... can play this game the whole day...end of the day...Fact : ANC had/s no idea how to transition from a liberation organization to a political party running a sophisticated economy/country - the first wave of leaders, were equipped but after that ... well, we living through it .... I have faith in SA, not so much in our politicians.... the private sector will come to party , slowly but surely Eskom generation will become just another chapter in our history books .... hopefully the current ruling party will be the preceding chapter.
