What a bloody cheek! The sooner people in government take accountability the sooner these problems will become a thing of the past? Acts like this will only add fuel for more attacks like xenophobia crysis we have now.

Typical ANC communist. Actually the stupidity of government got us into this mess, the high income users at least pay for their electricity, maybe if everyone paid for what they used we wouldn't need such a massive tariff hike.

Blame the [-]whites[/-] [-]rich[/-] high rollers.

I can barely keep up!

What an idiot ! Yes, they probably do use more electricity than your "average" household, however the crisis is lack of supply (demand has always been there). If one took the heavy residential users as been in the region of 75000 households, and there consumption been 4 times more than the "average" residential consumption they would still only account for 0.7% of the national overall consumption.

blame the people who run their own cables from the power boxes to their shacks.
Not to mention those of them who use a shopping trolley as a heater on said cables, or use the hotplates as a heater.

Dont tell us, we know and understand this, rather explain it to the person cutting your grass and washing your dishes. Explain how exactly the goverment has failed them, and how they can help to fix the problem next time they vote.

Otherwise, we end up in the same boat again, or worse.

But there are people on here who have been in meetings with eskom and tell us how intelligent the people who work there are. So it must be true...

Aren't ANC members and their BEE chums "high rollers"

and this idiot Moosa isn't a high income user

I do - all the time. Unfortunately, they are both ex-Zimbabwean, and agree with me.

have tried that many times, generally it does not compute with them. They fail to understand it and this is how African goverments and people like Mugabe stay in power for many many years. This is the whole secret behind it. The people with whom it does compute usually leave the country when things get bad

Funny the Eskom high-rollers had no problem to spend the millions in bonuses they got from the other high-rollers. Every day this country becomes more frakked.
