Actually I want them to provide the electricity they should provide as part of their mandate and according to the huge debt they created, supposedly to do exactly that.

As for who gets it?

This is actually easy to answer. Select an area that has a low crime rate, where people OWN the property or are in the process of paying off the loan for at least 8 years. It is the only way to ensure that the facilities will be in good hands.

The idea is that it is not a "hand-me-out", "not yet" first get the power stable THEN open the doors for all areas. Because Eskom can spend 7+ Billion on to stabilize the gird, then the second 7+ Billion to build and develop underdeveloped areas. Once done, we will have more power than what we will know what to do with, and that can only be a good thing.

It is just the safety of this infrastructure must take priority. That means identifying low risk areas first.
 
There are other ways to store energy. We just have to be clever, we can build Hydrogen plants and during the day time use all that energy to mass produce Hydrogen that can power turbines at night. That is clean energy that is real power and that IS possible.

Eskom can look at this and thank me later. But this is a REAL solution.
 
so hear me out. while this is not a foolproof plan and could be ironed out heavily. take the money expected to go to these power ships. allow organisations and such to implement solar as a Tax incentivized and then include a TES system in areas on top of that so the power can be used for prolonged periods of time. This way we don't just lose the investment after 20 years. I am by no means an electrician so open to thoughts.

I think the point I am trying to make is the private sector can do this and push hard to get it done. 7+ Billion is a lot for 1 person, but we do have big business in this country they also need to survive, so what now? Do they close down or do they invest?

Like I said, we can try and do this, or we can all live in hell.

If you stop for a second and just look, you will see it is already being done, the demand for solar has been triggered, roll out is on the up and thousands are already installing solar
 
Dude, the country, government and economy already failed due to loadshedding and the ANC. Thousands of manufacturing businesses have closed down. Thousands of farms are in the process of closing down and farmers getting ready to leave the country. Just yesterday a bookseller informed me that a large company printing school and university books have stopped printing books due to loadshedding and will consider resuming SA operations when loadshedding is ended. A tragedy is waiting the education systems too. No small business can operate in this country anymore. Things are so expensive out there, people simply cannot afford to put food on the table every day anymore. South Africa is done and dusted. There is no turning around. And, if turning around ever happens, it will take many hundreds of years before the country and economy gets back to where it was in the 1940's.

No one has said where this money is. Is there money? I doubt it.

So talking about subsidies is pointless.
