This seems to be our culture of late - celebrating poor performances. They managed to increase power availability from 65% in December to 75%. Global norm is > 85%, even old coal power stations should have an availability of around 88%.
In school, we tell kids that it's ok to get 30% - you get a matric - lets celebrate. This is the result of continuously lowering standards.

I would have said they are celebrating mediocrity, but it's far below mediocre, it's outright failure. The only thing they can say is that they could have failed worse.

A poll should be started as to how long Mr Molefe will stay at Eskom.
I would say 8 months with a 5 year salary golden handshake.
