My genie was getting lonely so I pulled it's cord a few times yesterday to turn it on. Now it's all lubricated and ready for some action.Generator needs a good workout after a few months of nothing. Also invested into a noise shed for it so would love to try that out
Well done, that was a good chuckleMy genie was getting lonely so I pulled it's cord a few times yesterday to turn it on. Now it's all lubricated and ready for some action.
Makes you think, they are probably back to using the OCGTs overnight to pump the dams at the storage schemes.. And tonight there is not enough diesel left to pull that off. So instead of doing that we get load shedding.Apparently enough to restock emergency reserves
I doubt they would use diesel to pump water back overnight. There would be excess power from coal to pump water back but probably running low on diesel so can't run OCGTs too long hence loadshedding starting at 21:00.Makes you think, they are probably back to using the OCGTs overnight to pump the dams at the storage schemes.. Possibly, but I remember back in early 2020 (pre-Covid) they once mentioned in a statement that they ran the OCGTs overnight to pump the schemes. Maybe not what is happening now but they have done that before.. Desperate measures! If national load + pumping of the storage schemes cannot be supported by the coal fleet overnight I guess there isn't anything left but OCGTs or load shedding. Just a guess. I find the complexities of managing the grid fascinating. Hats off to the system operator for keeping the whole thing from collapsing!I doubt they would use diesel to pump water back overnight. It's probably automated as I'm sure someone would have been napping on the job by now like Homer Simpson.Possibly, but I remember back in early 2020 (pre-Covid) they once mentioned in a statement that they ran the OCGTs overnight to pump the schemes. CPT also hit tonight from 2200 to 0500 tomorrow morning -zone 13 off currently.Same day as COSATU strikes...well, what do you know.
Luckily here in CPT we are still considering IF there will be ANY shedding. Not that I would notice...my systems at home have been in place for years already.
Steenbras is probably empty.CPT also hit tonight from 2200 to 0500 tomorrow morning -zone 13 off currently.
We really need to stop with the foolish conspiracy theories. It's loadshedding, we've been having it for years, we don't need to come up with stories when it happens.Exactly at the same time as the EFF calling for the removal of Andre de Ruyter??? What a coincidence.
Sabotage much? Never!
Nah don't you know it's because NERSA rejected the increases, or that the moon hit the sky like a pizza pie...We really need to stop with the foolish conspiracy theories. It's loadshedding, we've been having it for years, we don't need to come up with stories when it happens.
Remember how you're living on their continent? The ANC want to hold us hostage for there incompetency. For there Fu?ck they want us to pay.
Look at salaries in general parastatal were they have finger in the Pie. To ugly to mention!!!
Private sector does not pay that well as parastatal. Something is wrong. Know what is happening who sits on top it just filters down. Just follow the money trial.
This is exactly why they resorting to load-shedding now, blackmail isn't a normal business procedure but under the ANC it is.Nah don't you know it's because NERSA rejected the increases, or that the moon hit the sky like a pizza pie...
I think it's more related to the broken power stationsThis is exactly why they resorting to load-shedding now, blackmail isn't a normal business procedure but under the ANC it is.
