Eskom load-shedding catastrophe

Well I got my solar (as many others) while he was still CEO and no indication that he will resign.
We all know that this will not be fixed any time soon regardless of colour of the CEO or board for that matter.
There is still lots of money to me milked from Eskom so no rush in really fixing it.

But another member said Eskom will be irrelevant in 3 years, surely this means it will be bankrupt like the SAA or all 60 million citizens will have solar by 2026.

How many idiots call faults loadshedding. Jirre no man

Everything is load sheddings fault these days. I haven't had any loadshedding today yet someone claims to have had 6 hours loadshedding just today alone.

I'm not sure of value of its assets but with 400 billion debt, decrease in paying customers and increase in non paying ones then add rampant corruption it might be quite possible.
This year losses are at 30billion and increasing while availability is not really going up.

To all this add that economy is not doing well, debt is rising and loans are used to buy social peace instead of development so it is quite possible that country and eskom can go bankrupt.

Regarding solar installations, today my neighbour was adding extra 8 panels to other 12 and I'm planning to ad 4-5.
Not sure of his consumption but eskom for at least 8 months will be short at least R2200 per month from me (hopefully extra panels will decrease winter usage a bit).

So in 2026 ones with money will have solar (and power) and others will have to put up with whatever of eskom is left by then.
