More fuel for the fire I suppose, I have no simpathy for Eksdom.

According to Solidarity spokesperson Jaco Kleynhans, the country’s present electricity supply crisis can be directly attributed to the fact that experienced, well-trained people are leaving Eskom in droves to seek better jobs in the private sector and abroad.

"Since 1994, Eskom has lost 15% of its skills. Out of the 60 engineers at the Koeberg Nuclear Power station, 8 resigned in a period of two years and were not immediately replaced. A study conducted among our members in Eskom last year showed that as many as 75% of them are thinking of looking for other work," Kleynhans said.

This has been going on for years, Telkom being one example of note

(were perhaps they get rid of some ppl... and then years later, say... ohhh dear we need them, but they do not hire the same ppl back.... you can join the dots I am sure)

Thing is it is easy for some to think that they can do the job, but they will find out one of two things, one they cannot, or they might

The problem is that the person that could do the job has left, and will not be coming back, well sometimes as a consultant

But that never stops some ppl from trying their luck

I have seen it happen all too much
