After a scathing statement from the Black Business Council, the Eskom board distanced itself from Nyati’s comments by saying it embraced the preferential procurement policy framework act (PPPFA) as a state-owned enterprise.
Well there goes any hope I had of the new board making a difference in Eskoms trajectory :(

And here everybody blames Koko. Yet Eskom itself is now in a worse state than after he left. Give the devil it's dues, the guy may have been corrupt but he knew how to keep Eskom working even under the current shitshow.

It added that it supported “all government policies aimed at transforming the South African economy to deal with the pervasive conditions of inequality and socioeconomic imbalances”.

I know of two major infrastructure companies that wont sell to Eskom - even if Eskom paid cash up front for the equipment and it was through a re-seller. Eskom is too much of a liability and the chances of getting paid are low.
