Eskom Rant (Official Thread)

Had enough of Eskom, (right not much we can do about it) want to get it off your chest?

Right, so during most of March in my area weren't any power cuts until last night I am studying for my exam tomorrow. (Was using Windows 2000) and then suddenly at 6PM there was no more power.

This lasted until 8PM last night, my thing is Eskom is charging us more for less. Seriously this is getting beyond a joke, we supply power to other countries, buildings leave all their lights on, street lights are running at noon, but hell we can't use our power.

Even for the most basic person, Eskom has lost it. It is not our fault that they were to "Eksdom!" Now JHB wants 4 Hour cuts, how long until Eskom doesn't load shedd by hours but rather by days?

Also had load shedding down in the cape (strand / somerset west area) this morning bummer - now I have to hope people remember how to handle 4-way stop situations when the traffic lights are out, cause it seems they've all forgotten

Eskom are beyond hopeless.

Well up here we are lucky, seems that we are the evening load shedding (lucky us).. Although worst robots have got to be outside the Lord Charles, people can't drive if there is no electricity.

Oh, darn. Just realised I didn't charge up my laptop yesterday. According to the schedule I should be loadshedded between 4 and 6:30, so hopefully it will be over by then (not at home now, so I don't know if the power's off or not).
